The Todoist tasks are added to your Google Calendar (your choice of which calendar stream it uses) and can block out a set period of time around tasks that have a due date and time, as well as the configurable ability to either add tasks without a due date as an all day event or not map them at all. The sync is real-time and two way, offering the ability to add tasks via calendar and vice versa. Just do time blocks on paper and refer to Todoist for the actual tasks (which I don't schedule). As a heavy Google user and someone who now relies on Todoist, the practicality of it is wonderful. what is the optimal way to do this? Am I missing something? I do get annoyed with both Todoist and Google Calander notifying me of a task. Use Google calendar but keep it separate from Todoist, meaning I schedule out blocks of time but then refer over to Todoist for the actual tasks. I am trying to go to the "next level" and dedicate an amount of time to each task and schedule that out on a calendar. I really do love Todoist for helping me capture, organize and plan my tasks and projects, but I have issues trying to schedule out my day.
